Ontario's Free Coding Program for Young Adults

Do you have some time to donate your skills to give back to community for a meaningful cause by sharing your knowledge and skills? There are several ways to volunteer with Code Youth and support its mission in helping at-risk youth get a second chance at a career.

Social Media Design

Are you creative and have a passion for creating social media? Code Youth is looking for creative students who need volunteer hours to help design social media posts for Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Facebook. We want to make sure that we reach out to young adults who are struggling with education or employment.

Administrative Research

Are you passionate about surfing the net and social media to find information? Code Youth needs volunteers to help with administrative research to discover and connect with organizations and community resources with which to collaborate.

Peer Programming

Are you a passionate software developer looking to give back to the community and develop your skills as a software team lead? Code Youth is looking for peer programmers to help junior developers ages 17 to 29 build and code their web app in JavaScript in an Agile environment using GitHub, Slack, Jira, Lucidchart, etc. Peer programming offers our youth an opportunity to work with professionals in real-time and better understand how to work with industry methodology and tools.

Mentoring a youth

Are you an experienced IT professional working in the tech industry? Code Youth needs mentors to help guide our aspiring young adults along their career path and to share valuable knowledge and information about the IT sector. One-on-one mentoring builds confidence in our youth and helps them stay motivated and focussed on their goals.
