Zach Abrahams
TECH MENTORZach Abrahams has experience in previous volunteer roles at Ronald McDonald House Charities, the City of Hamilton, and Mohawk College, where he often interacted with youth. He completed his college education with honours at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario and is currently working at MDA, a space system company. His job at MDA includes design and development of space flight vision systems. Recently, he completed his Professional Practice Exam for OACETT further developing his knowledge in professionalism and professional practice. Zach enjoys mentoring students who are trying to enter the technology industry through Code Youth and he is happy to provide support for participants in the learning program.
Robert Hanak
TECH MENTORRobert Hanak is a retired Software Engineer with extensive experience in Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Oracle) and programming languages. He developed www.windmaran.com; a website that features Python and JavaScript programming courses and manuals for beginners and for the purpose of teaching teenagers to learn to code. He also wrote several manuals (free to download) for students who do not have any prior experience with programming languages. Peter Banh
TECH MENTORPeter Banh is a driven software developer with 2+ years of experience who is passionate about all aspects of software development. Initially, Peter started working in the manufacturing industry following his graduation from the University of Toronto, and he worked there for two years. During this time, he had the opportunity to create a simple web application using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and found that he enjoyed developing software, and he hasn’t stopped since. In May 2020, he enrolled in a coding bootcamp and is now working as a software developer at Xero. He is excited to mentor and help others to make the same transition he did.
Melissa Pullen

She has over 15 years of Customer Care expertise and 5 years of project management experience in the tech industry. Melissa is skilled at enhancing team performance, maximizing customer satisfaction and strategically managing clients through project implementation. She is also passionate about giving back to her community and bringing positive value to others.
Maryam Tse
TECH MENTORMaryam Tse is an engineer with 30 years industry experience at various leadership levels. She is an advocate for women in STEM and serves on the Board of the Society of Women Engineers Ottawa Affiliate. Maryam believes in providing support for youth who may not have family members or an existing network in the technology field, in order to help them transition into the field.
Harleen Kaur
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT MENTORHarleen Kaur is a Product Management /Technical Program Management leader with 6+ years of work experience in management and development sectors. She was recognized as a result-oriented leader and innovative thinker in the various organizations that had worked for. Harleen is a first generation woman in tech and supports other product managers in the product management and tech space. She is dedicated to giving back to the community and believes that providing assistance to the young generation is important as they are future leaders. Ashley Butao
TECH MENTORAshley Butao has 10+ years of diverse professional experience across various industries and roles. She began her career in Sales, transitioned to Operations and Business Analysis, and is currently a Technology Project Manager with a splash of Product responsibilities. She’s currently learning about cloud computing and is an active volunteer of PMI. Ashley is passionate about volunteering and bringing positive value to others through mentoring.
